One of the most important people in my life just gave me some great news. Last week my great friend Julio hit me up asking me if I was home. I found it weird. Not that he was calling but that he was asking me that. He said he would pass by in a few and say what's up. Cool. He called again and told me to come downstairs. I figured he couldn't find parking. So I throw some sweats on and make my way downstairs and go and chill in his car for a bit. He hands me this gift.
He handed me this box and told me to open it. Ernie, as I refer to him just asked me to be part of his wedding. I was all smiles. I was never expecting it. I knew I would be attending his wedding but I had no clue I'd be attending as a groomsman.
I can't wait to share this special day with Ernie and Yeslan. Familia is Familia es Familia.

Now Ever since I started this blog back in 2008 I just did it based off of the strength that I enjoy to write. I enjoy to share stories. That being said, over the years I have gotten to know some pretty awesome people who actually write for a living. This was a bit intimidating but nonetheless, we ended up getting really cool. Anthony Gilbert has written for Slam multiple times but none of his stories will mean as much to me as this one. Kobe Bryant is playing his final season in the NBA. Let that sink in. Every game I watch, I let a tear out because MY FAVORITE BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER WILL NO LONGER BE PLAYING BASKETBALL. Unlimited sighs about that but never any sighs for the words the homie Anthony puts together in this great piece. Continue to make us all proud AXG.

I know I said I'd write more but I have hit somewhat of a mental block when it comes to sharing my life on here. Social media is everywhere we look so it's only right to get with the times. I have been so out of shape lately that everything I try and do hurts. I've resorted to more stretching and a lot more water consumption to try and help me progress a bit more than I did last year. Follow me as I try and turn this dad bod into something that I'll be happy about for the rest of my life. The video above is just a quick work out I try and repeat at least two times a week. I try and do each exercise 3 times, 10 reps each with very little rest in between. I try and keep my work outs random that way I'm trying something new every time. Enjoy.

The NBA season officially started for me tonight. Kobe Bryant just took the floor for what is his 20th season with the Los Angeles Lakers. More than any other player in NBA history. Thank you for making them memorable. #GoLakers

I actually love this. Not because of the obvious fact that it has to do with one of the things I love the most in life, but because of all the good things to come. I can't tell you how much I hate the sneaker world right now. Nike and every other major brand out there are raising their prices and like the brainwashed generation we are, we keep buying them no matter how expensive they get. Granted, the technology in sneakers now is unheard of but either way, a pair of Jordan's goes for close to $200 retail. Which in turn makes the hype beasts and sneaker re-sellers up their prices as well. The reason it sounds like I'm complaining is because deep down inside I am. I guess I come from the generation where the history of the sneaker was bit more exciting than the sneaker itself. To watch Michael Jordan do things in the sneakers that were in store was something that always intrigued me.
This is why the whole "Jordan Experience" caught my eye. I wanted to see what it was about. I wanted to see if it was going to be another stupid project to get people to buy sneakers. I was shocked to see what it was all about. The fact that they want to educate this generation on sneakers blew my mind. I wish I could have been a part of that. Besides that, the fact that they're giving back to the community and the youth just makes me smile because it gives me faith. It gives me faith in the future. The future of sneakers. Please make sure you go and check out their site for more awesomeness.

I've been fortunate enough to have been invited to a few weddings and this is by far the best one I've ever attended. I met Dean and Jas through social media believe it or not. The rest is history. I was honored when they invited us to attend their special day and it did not disappoint. We flew to Cabo, Mexico for the weekend and from the minute we landed it was nothing but fun and sun.
Met some funny individuals and made nothing but great memories. I haven't laughed so consistently in a while and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Everywhere we went and everything we did was pure fun. Never a dull moment. How can you complain?
As you can tell from this picture...Fun was at an all time high.
No matter where we went, it was a mob. The guys night was freaking crazy. All of us pictured above, plus the 20 more that came from another hotel. At times we had to do a roll call just to make sure we didn't lose anyone. Like I said before, this was my 3rd wedding ever in life and it is most definitely at the top of the list. I'm wishing Dean and Jasmin nothing but the best in their marriage, I'm sure they won't disappoint.

This actually happened before we went away to Jamaica and it was a bad idea from the get ha ha. It was tons of fun and even though I prefer an outdoor venue, Billy's Sports bar was a perfect fit. Games everywhere, from giant Jenga to beer pong and even Twister.
Had most of the homies there from #LaLiga so you already know we we're good. Even took my brother and sister along which is something I rarely do when I go out to functions.
Had my brother from another mother, Dean, come all the way from Sunset Park and even ran into a couple of Legends by the bar.
The only bad thing from that night was that they over charged my credit card by about $300. So with that being said, I have to be a bit more careful when I open tabs because I know there was no way in hell I racked up a $500+ tab. That aside, nothing but great times with great people.
Until the next one. If you want to follow them for more updates on when the next party is, head on over to Instagram and give them a follow @worldbbq and I'll see you at the next one.
