OK so I'm upset as hell that I couldn't find this picture online, or take a better and clearer one for you. But this to me symbolizes brotherhood. Growing up I wasn't ever put into Basketball camps or any youth groups of the sort so I was never really introduced to the Team Concept until High School. I didn't try out for the Basketball team until my Sophomore year, played limited minutes for the Junior Varsity Team, then in mu junior and Senior Year Played Limited minutes with the Varsity Team. I say limited, because due to my grades I was ineligible to play. Goes to show how important your schooling is. Anyway, I've watched basketball my whole life, always indulged in it to the point where I feel like I knew the players, the coaches, I often see myself in Locker rooms interacting with them. True story is I'm at home, and In my head I dream up stuff like this. God knows what would've happened if I were to have participated in more Camps and what if something would've happened for me because of basketball. I could have maybe played college ball. I know I had the determination to do so, my game would've and could have eventually progressed and evolved. I'm not a great player, but I feel I can hold my own when I go against opponents. Its all about finding your niche. If I'm playing taller players, I know I can use my speed to get by them, If I fail to get to the basket, I can shoot from the outside, making me a threat either way. The 2008 Men's Basketball Team did just that. They got the best players and most dedicated ones to play for them. In a team so talented different players had to adjust to their roles. When you have players like Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade and LeBron James on the same team, you seem to think that there wont be enough ball distribution. Well, the USA team blew all doubters away and won gold. This picture brings that to life, the dedication, the triumph, the happiness. A picture is worth a thousand words, and this one brings just one to mind. TEAM.
