Im excited as anyone about having an African American President. Im thrilled to have the opportunity to be able to tell my children and hopefully their children that I was able to help Elect the first black President that we have ever had. At the same time, I also feel bad for our country. Racism is still alive and it saddens me to see it at a time like this when we should be celebrating as a whole, instead of tearing eachother apart with racial slurs and negative comments. Our economy is bad, and we're concerned about having a black president. I read in the paper the other day that President Elect, Barack Obama has the most indepth security that any, ANY President has ever had. No surprise to that, but I wish we could live in a society where that shouldnt be an issue. Where Obama and his family shouldnt have to have the thoughts of fear in the back of their minds. Im not a very political person, I do care about my future, My family's future and those around me also. I see the change in the near future, and I feel Like if the ignorant people who dont see the change, keep with their negativity, our change is going to be Overlooked. OBAMA in '08..the Change is upon us.
