If this were the final piece of the video for this song,I would love it and make it one of my favorites. I love the art and the concept. Two of the best MC's the world has ever seen, straight from Broooooklyn! Sometimes makes me want to be from Brooklyn you know? I just love the sound of it. I would rock a Brooklyn Dodgers fitted all day. But hey, being born and raised in Washington Heights and then becoming a man, in the Jungle world of 107th, I can't complain, well, maybe I can lol. By the way, the song.....CRACK! Nice one!
I just have to say one more thing. After in-taking this track, I was blown away. This is why Jay is Jay, and he could say stuff like, “I’m not a business man; I’m a Business, Man!” The following lyrics really hit close to home, as I myself was raised without a father figure; a common trend in Dominican families. In this track Jay says:“…with no intentions of returning tomorrow. The sun don’t come up for many, like Annie, half orphan, mama never had an abortion, papa sort of did, still I manage to live, I go hard, I owe it all to the crib, now please tell me, what the F*#k is harder than this.”Damn, that’s deep. Thanks mama, for not having an abortion. I love you.
True...deep deep..I love it son...my "dad" was around...but you know that story.
