Retiring Legend

Lately the sport of Baseball was tainted with the steroid scandal, but if there is something that brightens and takes our minds away from the negative, it's listening and reading a great baseball players career stats. I remember the early 1990's and those great Atlanta Brave's Teams. Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, Chipper Jones, Andruw Jones, John Rocker, Javier Lopez...they were a force to be reckoned with. With this, I bring the sad news. After 23 MLB seasons, Greg Maddux is retiring from the sport of baseball. One of the Greatest Pitchers to ever get on that mound, he had no comments on the issue at the time, but we can sit here and talk for days about his accomplishments. Maddux was an 8 time All Star, 4 time Cy Young winner and they were all won back to back from 1992-1995, he has 355 career wins which posts him as 8th all time in MLB history, he has a championship which he won with the 1995 Atlanta Braves, and probably the most astonishing stat of them all is the 18 Gold Gloves which is the most by any Player and an MLB record. We say goodbye to one of the greatest to ever put on a fitted hat.
