And the award goes to....

As the Playoffs begin and teams start getting cut down, I take this time to congratulate the already awarded players for their great 2008-2009 Season. With a lot of basketball left to play, and the MVP award on its way, I had to give some shine to those worthy of it.

Coach of the Year- Mike Brown
Led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Best Record in the NBA and swept the Injury Plagued Detroit Pistons.

The 6th Man Award- Jason "Jet" Terry-
Most players hate coming off the bench, but when you're on a Playoff Team, and on the verge of Knocking out the 4 time NBA Champ Spurs, I'm pretty Sure Jason Terry doesn't mind getting this one.

Rookie of the Year- Derrick Rose-
Coming into this season I had Michael "Beast" Beasley as the Rookie of the year, and I only based that on his Collegiate stats, but what I hadn't taken into consideration was that Derick Rose is a BEAST himself. Congratulations to him.

Defensive Player of Year- Dwight Howard-
Superman of the year, he came into the season with a goal to lead the NBA in Blocks this year, and did just that. With many impressive outings and an impenetrable force in the middle, Howard Blocks all others from this award.
