Game 5 Victory

This was a must win game for the Los Angeles Lakers as the Denver Nuggets came into Staples Center to look to take a 3-2 lead in the series. From the Start things were going down for both teams. The Nuggets started off making their first few shots, and then defense picked up on both sides of the court. Carmelo Anthony, who struggled last game, and was a little hobbled by injuries plays better away then he does at home in these Conference Finals. Anthony definitely showed that by scoring 31 points and dishing out 4 assists while grabbing 4 boards. Kenyon Martin made a few open 16 footers early, he and Chauncey Billups both scored 12 points while Kleiza came off the bench to score 10 points.

The Lakers came out pounding the ball into the post. Andrew Bynum had a few baskets closer to the hoop than what Denver wanted, and Pau Gasol had himself another double-double with 14 points and 10 boards. Lamar Odom had a huge game for the Lakers as he came off the bench to score 19 points andgrab 14 huge boards.

Derek Fisher also showed some signs of his old self, knocking down some early Jump shots, he and Trevor Ariza both added 12 points as the Lakers took Game 5, beating the Denver Nuggets 103-94 taking a 3-2 series lead. Lets Go Lake Show.

If the Lakers continue to take it one game at a time and play like they did in Game 5...then it's over! See you at the parade cuzo!
