Being the fan of Basketball that I am, I tend to be very passionate when it comes to the sport. A lot of people watch basketball, I try to live in the game as it is on. I yell at the t.v., cursing at whatever didn't go my way, I clap my hands as If I were at the game, I do this 3 slapped, handshake with my younger brother whenever something goes my way. I'm that fan that would cry if his team lost, and cry if his team won. Over the years I have grown to "hate" certain NBA Players. I say hate very loosely because I don't know any of the players personally, but I dislike them when it comes to the game itself. I've had my list of players such as Karl Malone, Rick Mahorn, Tyron Lue, Ruben Patterson and most recently Kenyon Martin.
I love Jason Kidd and I felt that he is to thank for making Martin the player that he was. When Kenyon left New Jersey, I felt he had made a huge mistake because Kidd was what complimented his style of play. I feel I was sort of right. The years that Kidd and Martin were together, Martin went to the All Star team and he was a force to be messed with. He had better numbers and just looked better playing back then. Of course there were injuries that slowed him down, but still..catch my drift? Now that the Nuggets are taking on the Lakers, it gives me time to curse at the t.v. whenever Martin tries to guard Kobe Bryant, or whenever he does something I don't agree with...like this...
“We’ve got a fight on our hands and the Cavs have a fight on their hands,” he said. “Everyone just thought us and and Orlando were going to go down so they can play. But that ain’t going to happen. I’m going to make sure that doesn’t happen. Go play NBA Live if you want to see that match-up.”
The statement above was what Kenyon Martin said to the Denver Post after the Nuggets game 2 win over the Lakers. It saddens me that, number one he feels this way and also that he plays NBA Live, everyone knows NBA 2k9 is where it's at. Anyway, with all this being said, it fuels me more for tonight's Game 4 and will have me yelling and cursing at the t.v. even more. Lets Go Lakers.
