RIP Wayman Tisdale

A few days ago the Basketball world was given the sad news that Chuck Daly had passed away, and today more bitter news comes our way as Former NBA player, Wayman Tisdale has passed away early today from a battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed as one of the players who always carried a smile on his face. Here is a video of Tisdale that aired last year. Rest in Peace.

Wow. I liked Wayman cuz he was more than a B.Ball player. He was a community leader, and great musician-bass player. He was one of the first professional athletes of my time, to have the gift of music, and actually sell records. I know this cuz i've been a jazz fan for years, and Wayman featured in many jams, and released jams of his own (check out his "Way Up" and most recent "Rebound" albums. Sweet). If I'm not mistaken, I believe he left basketball, to dedicate his time to his music. Bernie Williams of the Yankees, did the same thing, leaving the game for music. Wow, that's sad news right there. R.I.P man. Prayers go out to his family & friends.
