Off with the head.

Perseus with the Head of Medusa (also known as Perseus holding the Head of Medusa) is a recurring theme in artwork, depicting an event from Greek mythology in which the heroPerseus holds up the severed head of the gorgon Medusa.

I saw this a few years ago and never bothered to look up what it was. The more I see it the more intrigued I am by it.
