Look up Tonight

September 11Th. Before the terrorist attacks was just a normal day. Now we approach the date with a certain attitude that only New Yorkers understand. Our city was mistreated, our freedom was interrupted, our safety was tampered with. The city that never sleeps became the city that mourns. The most famous city in the world became famous for reasons other than the fashion, bright lights and history. We mourn the day, but at the same time we celebrate the lives of those we lost. We lost two twin towers, but we gained pride, we gained strength through numbers, we became stronger. Tonight we look up to the sky and remember those that were lost, but we acknowledge and pay our respects. To those who lost someone 8 years ago today, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours. Moment of silence.
