LeBron James: We can beat the Dream Team.

My boy once told me that he thought the number one seed in College Basketball could beat the worst team in the NBA. I told him he was out of his god damn mind. This was an argument where I knew what the correct answer was. There was no denying that an NBA Team, worst record in the league, would dismantle the top seed in College Hoops. This argument is a little tougher to debate. Obviously I chose a side. In my heart I KNOW the Dream Team would beat this Years USA Basketball Team. Would they embarrass this years team? I don't think they would, but they would most certainly beat this years team. Now the dilemma with this is the different era's of Basketball. The Dream Team paved the way for the players now. They revolutionized the International way of Playing Basketball. Granted The World hadn't caught up to the style of play that the NBA was running. Back in the early 1990's, International Competition wasn't what it is now. They have caught up. They have stacked up. They have even challenged the United States when it comes to claiming that Gold Medal. This is an argument that will never end and that will never be settled.

Now as for Kobe Bryant and now LeBron James stating that they CAN beat the Dream Team, I don't blame them. If I were a future hall of famer with the talent level these guys have now I'd have the utmost confidence in myself to beat anyone. What are they supposed to say? That they'd lose? Of course not. That's the nature of the sport. The competitive nature. The wanting to WIN every single game you play. I'm not mad that they would say such things, I've heard worse. Anyway, here's a short clip of LeBron and his reasons.
