Game 1: Kobe Bryant

Kobe was supposed to be out for much longer. His rehab shouldn't have been so fast. He's not human. He loves this game more than anyone I've ever watched play basketball. He made his season debut 19 games into the regular season against a team that LA should have beaten. He was rusty at times and at other times showed why he's still one of the best players in the world. He had 9 Points, 2 steals, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and a terrible 8 Turnovers. He knows it. He gave himself the grade of an "F" as far as his performance went. The timing was off. It was expected.

He played 28 minutes. A bit much considering coach D'Antoni said it would be about 20 or so. After the game he said he felt great. Which is good news. He tweeted a few minutes ago and said "It's easy to take this game for granted..." And saying how much he loves being back. I'm sure he knows how much of an impact he has on his fans because I notice the impact he has on me.

He will play his second game of the season tonight against the Phoenix Suns. He'll probably play better, smarter and you know he'll want to win. That's all he ever wants. How can you not like a guy like that? Welcome back Kobe. We missed you.
